Install gives error

Good day,

Didn't get too far as running mysite.com/install/index.php give the following error:

register_globals is On (warning, you should have this param in Off state, or your site will unsafe)
allow_url_include is On (warning, you should have this param in Off state, or your site will unsafe)
get_magic_quotes_gpc is Off, enable it
Please go to the
Dolphin Troubleshooter
and solve the problem.

The link to the troubleshooter doesn't say what to do for that error. I have created the SQL database and loaded all the files to the root directory as dolphin will be a stand alone community. I'm trying to load it on hostgator.

Any suggestions?

These are adjusted in your php.ini settings file.

It's normal for most default PHP installs to have magic quotes off, but the others should also be off by default.

The fact that your host has register globals on and allow_url_include on by default tells me your host has no regard for system security. You should seriously consider finding another host.

Thanks for the quick reply. Where is the php.ini file as I couldn't find it in the dolphin zip file I downloaded or any of the folders within the zip file?

We're just testing dolphin on hostgator. Live site will be on a more secure VPS :)

It's not provided by dolphin. It's provided by your host and should be in the root directory of your hosting account. If not then you will need to contact your host to find out how to adjust those settings.
