Situation: I just had two users sign up within an hour of each other - one male and one female. They were both online at the same time and the female's avatar changed automatically to copy the male's avatar.  Then, there were two users with the same avatar - both with the male's picture.

I walked her though changing her pic back. She said she had visited his profile - nothing more.

Site Specs: I am running a 7.0.5 site with Deano's FB Connect and ilbellodelweb's SpyWall and MegaProfile w/ Avatar Set/Crop

Has anyone else had this error?

 we are having the same experiences.....in our instance the avatars that are being replaced are users that are logged in at the time of enrollment.  or at least that is the only theory we are following

So no, you do not have the SAME mods. Accuracy is very important when tracking down problems.

 Thank you for correcting me....I do not have the facebook mod from you.  I am using the one that comes with dolphin.   I agree that accuracy is important and that I glazed over that was an error in my reporting...

I too have been experiencing some strange behavior regarding avatars. Mine seem to disappear at random. I thought it may have had something  to do with the llBelloDelWeb Megaprofile module, I didn't notice any problem before I installed it. But I cant be certain if it was the Megaprofile module or just a bug in 7.0.5

Yep I have this problem too? exactly the same! One thing I noticed that I carried out a simulation and joined my site, I uploaded my avatar only to see someone elses right there on my crop block within boonex. Very strange indeed and yes some users avatars go blank? and some are swapped around with each other!!

I have the wall 1 col, 3 col and megaprofile installed amongst other Mods including Facebook from jainrain and the ultimate facebook from mods4dolph will come back with a cut and paste soon!

I've not heard back. He must be busy trying to replicate and trouble shoot it

I'm experiencing the same problem myself. Hopefully someone will get a handle on it soon. It's not something that instill confidence in us by our members.

Also have this issue. It started for me just after I installed Ilbellodelwebs megaprofile. I already had his spywall and this issue was not present before installing megaprofile. i am also using 7.05

i don't think it has anything to do with his mods i remember this happened to me on my demo site a while ago (7.0.3) My admin avatar got replaces with one of the members avatar.

This is now crazy I check my site everyday only to be trawling through personal details and correcting these issues manually! (moving avatars arounds all day long!...life is a breeze--Not)

Another thing I have noticed is that I cannot CROP any images in megaprofile on the FRONT Page, everywhere else is fine :(

I don't think this is a megaprofile issue b/c I'm having the same problem and the only mod I have on my site is Deanos Tools 1.8.1

Hey for some reason I am having problems enabling the public/non members to view profiles? Any ideas if this is a megaprofile issues, I get a Database query error?? it comes up with one big profile picture and some options but a mess??

it happened for me also :( Some members suddenly lack of avatar images or have the wrong ones.

I've had installed Mega Profiles, but removed it some days ago.

I have the same Problem with avatars but i have not installed Mega Profiles.

I think its a bug in 7.0.5. Before i made the upgrade from 7.0.4 to 7.0.5 all works great.

I have got the mega profile mod and was wondering how to solve this issue. I have change the finestra.png on the 'upload photo' part... /modules/ibdw/megaprofile/templates/uni/img/finestra.png  same place as crop and other many option at the top right of default profile pic. Anyway because I change this image to a more suitable one for the template due to the text not displaying, I seem to have lost the top right close button X, it still closes but it's invisible aarrggh any ideas how to remedy this please. My new png image is attached for reference.

I found a possible solution in another thread. If you had to fix anyone's avatar, you have to clear your cache on each avatar fixed. You can't leave it alone or the problem will keep cascading. It worked for me.

I have dolphin 7.09 and having same problem with avatar changing by itself - it happened to me once when logged into admin, and just made a new test user and the avatar changed to someone elses avatar on the site, I never visited the page or anything....

It happened when using firefox browser 11.0 I also checked with IE and Google chrome and seemed fine, also once I cleared browser cache in firefox the avatar went back to the one originally uploaded... this little bug makes me hate avatars more than before....

There is no known issue with avatars in recent version of Dolphin.

One possible problem is cache - when you install new version of Dolphin to the old folder. So old avatars from old members could match new members avatars. Cache could live as long as 30 days!

So when you perform new Dolphin installation choose new folder (preferred way), or make sure that you are not behind proxy and clean your browser cache (not preferred since proxy can't always be easily determined)
