We are on the mission to create a very solid documentation base for Dolphin and now we ask for your help again. If you feel confident about any Dolphin-related subject and ready to share your knowledge with Unity members, please consider writing a Tutorial at BoonEx Trac.
We will review your submissions and will reward solid, quality works in a few ways:
- by paying money. Depending on quality and community feedback it may be somewhere around $100-300 per tutorial. You would also be featured as the author of the tutorial and would be allowed to place a link to your site in your Author signature. Thus, it is a promotion opportunity, too.
- by promoting you and your site on the Tutorial page. You would be featured as the author of the tutorial and would be allowed to place a link to your site in your Author signature.
- by featuring your work in Newsletter and Blogs. Your tutorial will be announced in BoonEx Blog and BoonEx Newsletter, thus promoting you and your site even more.
- by giving Premium Membership. Authors of good Tutorials may be given a free Unity Premium Membership or extra period of their current Premium Membership.
- we are also happy to negotiate any other reward for worthy works.
Note, however, that lesser quality may mean that your work would be pulled. So, feel free to discuss (at uno@boonex.com) your ideas and progress with us. We're happy to collaborate on your Tutorials.
The quality and usefulness would be for the most part determined by BoonEx and by community feedback. Generally we expect a digestible volume of text and screenshots that one can read and make use of within a few hours. So, it may be 200 words or 2000 words, or 20,000 words, but those words must be really useful.
It must be in English. Sorry for language intolerance, but we can only facilitate internal and community evaluation of English texts.
It must be properly formatted in BoonEx Trac Wiki. It's not a hard thing to learn.
Just to kick-start your imagination, some ideas on Tutorials we'd be interested in:
1. How to build an online dating site using Dolphin.
Think about it... a good tutorial may be written within a few hours, and may be a good opportunity and a great help for the community and BoonEx.
1. Login to Trac using your Unity ID - http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/login
2. In your browser address bar, type in a new tutorial URL, like: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/TutorialHowToDoThis
IMPORTANT:
- Start the URL with "Tutorial" word.
- Don't use spaces or special characters in URL.
3. Click "Create this page" button and start writing.
IMPORTANT:
- Use the WIKI formatting.
- Familiarize yourself with formatting used in other Tutorials and do the same.
More info here.
Anyway, I have another suggestion. Why not make an announced live cast (once a month) where people can actively join and discuss and maybe all with supporting video clips (10 minutes is enough per theme)? Keep it it online for reference. I think that would create a lot of attraction and all the tools Boonex is famous for (like chat), could be brought in.

I have already started thinking what should I write on...
This is the page I created: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/TutorialCronJobSetup
So why don't I see it under Community Tutorials like the others? Am I missing something?

I added your link to the main page Zarcon... you just edit the page where you see the links and copy the bottom one and put your url and title in there.
So Andrew.. Where is my shirt??? :)
I've followed the instructions to create a new page and couldn't do it. I'm only an advanced member so I assume that is the issue.
