bug maybe? annoying "are you sure" message

A few of members complain about this which i kinda understand.  Every single time they shoot a message, that annoying message showing up saying....

"Are you sure?  This page asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved."

when they leave the page.  It makes no sense.  The message is already sent out so why do we have to get this annoying message.  Is there a way to turn this off?

Has this been logged as a bug? I'd like to see an official fix for this...

Thanks!

idont think this is a bug - i think it is just one of the features of how the tinyMCE is - as this issuie is something that I have seen on several sites that use tinyMCE, and not just Dolphin. Its like installing a mod or something for your tinyMCE - if you dont want the popup, you just disable it.

ok... didn't messages use TinyMCE in 7.0.9?

interesting - i didnt really pay attention cause we dont do comments. But after further thought - it may be a small bug. Cause technically, after you have SENT the messaage, the data has already been entered - so leaving the page should NOT cause the popup to occur.

right... :)

now - I am a lil worried that my workaround may be improper to use. Although I am using it myself and things seem to be fine for now, what happens if the form is not submitted and you try to change the page - in that instance, you should see the popup - so, I would have to ask if you start a comment and try to leave page - do you get error message like a person should.

This isn't a bug but I guess maybe one can have it where the alert is turned off.

First, you are being ask to either send another message, or view the profile.  That is why the alert is triggered when you move off the page without either returning to the inbox or doing one of the asked conditions.

Geeks, making the world a better place

You shouldn't be warned about that. The feature is to save data that been entered into a field. There's nothing to save there.
