Hi Modzzz,

I purchased the Ultimate Referral a while back but didnt managed to test that until now. This are my findings:

1. The Admin dashboard has the ability to turn Auto referral ON/OFF. However, even when I turn it off, I still can send invite? Why is this so? Shouldn't it disable sending invite at least?

2. When someone received my invitation asking me to join and I click to join - it does not reflect in the Referral statistics, homepage, profile page to reflect that the person is a referred person.

3. The Auto Add Referral is ticked but even after joining the site from an invitation received, I do not see the person added to my friend list.

These are some of the problems that I encountered thus far. Appreciate if you can shed some light to this matter.

FYI: My Dolphin installation is version 7.0.4

There is some incompatibility with your template. I cannot say what it is until I actually look at the site.

The emails that the system is sending have the from field blank and the the first line of the message contains

MIME-Version: 1.0 From: =?UTF-8?B?QmVhY2hMaWZlc3R5bGU=?=

I changed the \r\n to \n as suggested in a different post. what should I try now?

I can think of a couple of additions to your Ultimate Referral mod - two in particular for me at least.

1.  Add Alert Actions
If you have Alert Actions that can capture the referrer when an invited signs up that would be great.

So if Member M invited Guest G, would it be possible to trigger an alert action when Guest G signs up and use that alert as a way to credit Member M?
I have Anton's Global Points System mod and I would like to be able to to automatically give points to Member M when his invited Guest G signs up.

2. Ad tracking

I have been tracking my ad campaigns in a primitive way.

So for example, I create three members called MemberGoogle, MemberYahoo, and MemberFacebook.

So if a visitor comes to the site from my Google Ad campaign the MemberGoogle will become the referrer.

So if a visitor comes to the site from my Facebook Ad campaign the MemberFacebook will become the referrer.

Unfortunately, I have multiple ad campaigns in Google alone.
I would like to be able to figure out what ad campaign in Google brought in a particular member sign up.

For example, right now ALL my Google Ads point to
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25 where 25 is the member ID of MemberGoogle (that I created).

I would like something like this.

http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&AdNumber=1
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&AdNumber=2
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&AdNumber=3
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&AdNumber=4

etc..

If you can put even more variables in the Query string that will be fantastic.

You have banners setup. Perhaps the Banners could have ID's.
So the URL for the ad campaigns could be like
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&Banner=1
http://www.mywebsite.com/?idRef=25&Banner=2

Bottomline, at least one more querystring variable would make the Ultimate Referral  more robust with the Ad Campaign tracking system.

If I could figure out Ad tracking through Google Analytics, I wouldn't need your mod modified.

Tried to install the module. I got an error. It installed half of it but I can't uninstall it. Its in the uninstalled modules. Here's the error I got.

Trying to install ultimate referral contest. getting this error.

 This issue was resolved via PM.

I updated the mod to verision 2.0.1, but when I tried to updated to version 2.0.2, I could NOT.

In the read me file, it did NOT say to run SQL, but there was an SQL update to run, i did run it. But the module number did not get updated....Could you please check it for me?

 Download and run the sqlupdate.php again.

Meaning, for the new member to register on my site, they must first confirm their account and email by clicking on the confirmation email send to them during the registration. I have set the referral like to point to the home page.  I believe because of this sitting the mod is not recording the referral...Could you please update it so it will work that way too.

Again, I did this to stop the spammer and the female harasser on my site. Many people try to register with fake emails and create fake profile just to harass girls.

i believe all these Raffle and Contests needs  a section for a winner to claim his/her PRIZES...And, this could be very simple. A section where the member can claim the prize by clicking claim button and enter his/her personal data with uploaded file.. This file could be his/her driver ID or state ID...or any time of ID that could be send when claiming the prize!

 Point taken but this is completely unrelated to the Ultimate Referrals mod.

you right..this could be very simple for all the prized where winner claim his/her prize..so you can implemented on all those contests you have!

How do I cancel a referral?

 There is no facility for that.

How and where do I set the number of point a member would get for a referral?

 After you have done the integration, you are able to manage this is in the Admin section of the Points mod just like any other Points Action.

yes, possible

 The mod does not have any "Powered by..." . This is part of the dolphin script itself.

With the affiliate mod, will it allow a way to calculate based on types of memberships? Ex a member signs up as a standard free membership (is worth no points or $0 value to affiliate) but the site has other fee based memberships say $10 to be a gold member (is worth 20 points or $5value to affiliate). If the system is set up for every new paid membership the affiliate gets $5, then if an affiliate has 3 standard free new sign ups and 2 fee based sign ups they have earned $10 and not $25.00. Does the system allow for that or are all memberships counted the same?

 This is not an affiliate program.

No, this cannot be done. This mod does not facilitate affiliate payouts.

Fixes issue with integration of Referrals and Events

Is it possible in this version that only members that invited people who then become premium users get points? I fear the members just make fake accounts with free mail hosters to gain points.

i think it would be awesome and safe for me to give them 1 month membership for free if they can invite (n)-members that become later payed members. could this be made in a future version if its not possible yet?

 This feature is not present and there is no immediate plan to implement such a feature.

Adds functionality to allow other mods to use referrals to redeem stuff. Eg. Referrals can now be integrated with Rewards mod to redeem rewards.

Is there a way for a member to see who invited them, and even have there be a link that they can click on to go to their inviter's profile anytime they want?

 That option is currently not available but I have noted it for inclusion in the next update.

Via Menu-Builder I removed the Referrals Menu from the Site Menu by removing Guest and Members permissions to it. Instead i dragged "Member Referrals" Block to the users Dashboard/Account Menu so he can access this part from there. I did that because my site has to many top menus already and it does not make any sense to have a top-menu just for referrals or every little mod that is installed....

The only problem is: the referral module cannot show its own "horizontal" module-menu anymore, its just not displaying. Can you please fix that? I know it can be done because i have some other modules that can handle this.

Any idea when you will have a version for Dolphin 7.1?

I cannot give a fixed date as to when a particular mod update will be completed. However, I can tell you that I am working vigorously to update all modules in my portfolio.

This mod is now updated for Dolphin 7.1

I use different styles. In the Dark styles this mod does not show up so well. Most of your other mods I have do fine. What setting do you use on the other mods to take the CSS codes from the templete style. Please see attached image to see what I mean..

I have modified it so that there should not be any issues with darker backgrounds. Re-upload the files below and clear cache.

That did not work? Now I have a black box in the center? LOL..

 The black box is actually a textbox that has been given a black background by your custom template. The mod will have to be manually adjusted on your site to include specific styling for the custom template.

I do not know which icons you are referring to, please specify. Dolphin 7.1 uses vector icons and all my mods are being updated to use the same also.
