Support forum for IBDW EVO Wall - part 9

 Could be you have 'popular' toggled. Click the top right corner icon and choose 'Update'.

Generally when you add a new post from the wall, the wall refreshs the contents.

Please describe exacty the actions made (step by step) and also try to do the same on the demo site http://dolphinextensions.com (just to verify if this issue can be reproduced)

Maybe you have to empty the cache, I see the font size 14px (hoping your site is:  mystampworld.net)

for the comments.

Hi, yes that's my site, and both browser and server caches have been emptied.

You see 14pt when the message is displayed.

The problem is typing in the message. When typing it's only 11pt.

1) download and open the file css ibdw/evowall/templates/uni/css/evowallstyleUNI.css and search this class:

.areamsgnoava

2) add this attribute:

font-size: 14px !important;

3) save and upload the file

4) empty the cache

 Hi, Sorry, but that is not the answer. I already have that set to 15px.

I see it's also the tiny 11px for message input on your website.

When a change is made on the wall, such as expanding some activities such as ratings, likes, events (I think photos are okay), or clicking on the older activities link at the bottom (endless display not active), the gear icon will then not display on these.

When a comment is posted, the x for delete on the top right corner of the comment will not display until the page has been refreshed.

When a comment is posted, can that activity be displayed to the top. Right now any new comments down the wall probably never get seen.

Suggested new feature: Can emoticons be displayed in comments and messages please.

Can we have an edit option on comments and messages for admins, moderators and members originating the message/comment.

An option for admin messages to be pinned/unpinned to the top of the wall.

Did you realise I raised these issues 3 weeks ago and only now I'm asked to do your testing for you !? Well, I would if I could sign up on the site. The confirmation email is never delivered. I don't necessarily want to join the site simply to test your software for you. Could you create a 2nd demo user on the site please and I'll do your testing.  But I'm surprised you haven't got original testing data to show these work.  BTW, at least one of these problems has also been reported in the past by another user.

Maybe I was not clear.

The test on the demo site is the best practice to understand if a problem is only on your site or it's a bug of the module.

Often a module problem is due to a wrong javascript (a js error can break the regular functioning of the other scripts).

This is the reason I suggested to check if you can reproduce the same issue on the demo site where we are sure there are not errors. We have not need more tester.

Anyway, when you want report a problem, in order to get the best/fast answer to solve the issue, I suggest to specify also the module version installed on your site (EvoWall version), the environment of your test (browser, OS) and if you can, send the screenshot of the problems you have seen. This will help to understand where is the problem (if present really) and also to reduce the time for the fix.

Last thing, as you can see you have got our answer to the request of customization of the style, this type of request is not for support, the customization (style, functioning,ecc...) is request that is not included on the module sell. And you have got these informations for free.

I've tested your site with Firefox, and I've see not the problem you have reported. Only I can't delete the comment I've typed but this can depend by the settings (check your membership's actions level).

Remember also that you can contact us via Boonex message area in order to check module installation/configuration but for this, we need the credentials.

I cannot test problems 1 and 2 on your site because the settings do not allow for these.

I need access to Admin to change settings to test these on your site which is not provided.

How hard is it for you to test these problems ???

Your rules and guidelines for providing "service" are dumb. How can any new user understand your terms for providing solutions to problems. You've probably listed them but expecting new users to magically realise they need to read through 9 separate lengthy topics to find them is crazy. You need to respond to EVERY post and query here and in a timely fashion, just as you do when you can see that a user does have a real problem.

we answer as soon as possible. In order to understand where is the problem, I suggest to contact us in PM and send the credentials for the administration and the FTP (it's better to create a full backup before to send private informations) so to test the module with your settings.

Before when i was using 7.0.8 version when adding sounds videos used to appear on the evo wall but when i upgraded to 7.1.4 and i upgraded evo wall they do not appear on the evo wall.

Check your evo wall option settings in admin to see if the options for sound and video are set.

 I do have both checked in the Evowall "Allow Post For Videos: & Allow Post For Sounds "

photos & sites are working normal except the videos and sound.

after this update (to the new dolphin version) I think your module BOONEX Spy is not working fine.

I've checked your site but I've not the credentials for the administration so I cant see if when you post a videos or a sound this type of information is correctly spied by Boonex Spy.

In general this type of issue can be solved following the simple steps:

1) uninstall every module that use Boonex Spy, then

2) uninstall and reinstall Boonex Spy

3) install every module you need on your site (that you have uninstalled - point 1)

So check if the problem has been fixed.

Important: before to start It's better to create a full backup of the site (database included). I hope this can help.

Can I have an admin login to the demo site please.

I would like to try some of the different options.

How is it possible to test all the features of EVO Wall on the demo site without access to the Admin panel to change options?

we can't give you the credentials for the administration, but if you want you can specify the settings you want apply to EvoWall (on our demo site), so to allow you to see the same settings of your site for a comparation.

the settings on our demo site are the same now. The default values will be restored in 2 days (Dicember 23).

Released the new version EvoWall 1.6.1 for D7.1.X

This version add the compatibility for the new modules:

- Boonex Pages (by Zarcon)

- IBDW Pages Cover

Also this version adds many new date formats for the posts.

To install this version you must uninstall and reinstall the module (data relating to the post, likes, etc. will not be lost)

New update (EvoWall 1.6.2 for D7.1.X).

If you are not using the new module PAGES by Zarcon, you can skip this update.

This update improves the support for the module Pages, adding the email templates for the like, share and comment actions to the posts about the pages.

To apply this update you need to reinstall the module.

No data will be lost

This is not the module EvoWall, it's Profiles Cover. So I suggest to write to the Profiles Cover forum for future requests.

Anyway, contact us (in PM) with the credentials for your site (Dolphin Administration and FTP) so to check your issue.

Released a minor update for EvoWall (1.6.3). This version remove the action "EVO WALL - Pages" from the memberships action level during the uninstallation.

i use Dolphin 7.1.2 and EVO Wall 1.6.3

The Problem is in the email template "Message to a profile" template includes an empty URL to the wall message. So you have the post content in the mail, but the link "Follow this link for more details" does nothing.

the html content of the email template is:

Released the fix (EvoWall 1.6.5)

If you have already installed the previous version (1.6.4), you can simply overwrite the following files (into the folder modules/ibdw/evowall/):

- exe_url.php

- inserimento.php

- inserimentourl.php

- messaggio.php

This version also adds the email notification when Profile A send a message with an URL to the Profile B

PROMO Posts module .... 

Would be great if you could setup something that posts .... like sponsored posts on fb - could be used for advertising.
