Appears to be confirmed. Every time the news feed auto refreshes itself on a the set time limit the post duplicate and then triple and so on and so forth. As I said the entries will not be there if you hard refresh the page yourself until the script auto refreshes again.

I get this error trying to post a URL:

Can you reproduce the same issue on the demo site http://www.ibdwsoft.com ?

Today we have released EvoWall 1.3.2

This version allows to display the post "ProfileXYZ rated the Profile ABC" when you have disabled the post "profile updates" on the evowall settings.

For who already installed EvoWall 1.3.1, these the files to upload (then empty the cache)

I was not able to reproduce the this on the demo site but your news feed is full on the demo site and has no room to replicate on the home page where mine only has the one entry right now. Not sure if that matters. I am not real saavy on checking for javascript erros so I made attempts using the firebug firefox extension with no help or understanding rather. I then just pasted my homepage source code into JSLint and all returned notes were all dolphin core items of 7.1. So no help their either.

What I did find is that this problem does not happen on the account page. It only happens on my homepage. I removed all blocks from the homepage except for evowall and the problem continues.  I also removed my template and went back to UNI and still the issue persist.  I uninstalled my social slider on the left side of my homepage because I know it uses javascript and still no luck. My limited trouble shooting of javascript has me out of ideas on what to do next.

Any feedback on my above post? It doesnt have to be the correct answer but any answer to help resolve this issue. I can not find any issues causing the update feature to duplicate the entries. This has me a mess at the moment. I have took initiative and tried quite a few things as my previous post says.  

If i post a url on the wall ( IBDW EVO Wall ) i get the image + description of the site i shared.
If i click on the nickname i'm linked to the profile of the person that shared the site, if i click on the word "link" i'm linked to the site the person shared, but if i click on the image i'm linked to our own homepage instead of the site that's shared.

Can someone help me with this problem?

BUG: Unconfirmed profiles show on the wall when they edit their profile.

How can i set 1 album for all my photo's?
I have the module EVO Wall and it put my photo's in the album "wall-photo's" and all the avatars are put in the album ... ( nickname ) photo's.

How can i set both photo's in the same album?

Enhancement: Now that 7.1 insterts a record into Spy when a user updates their status message, can you add an option to display this notice as well as what they changed their status to?

ilbellodelweb will you be offering any support for my posted issue of my entries duplicating when auto or manual updates are initiated. I understand that your stock product perhaps does not have this issue with the stock version of the 7.1 dolphin installation. However many of us purchase and use 3rd party mods like your own so our sites stand out and have extended functionality.  Otherwise my point being we do not all run stock set ups or there would be no need for the market place.  Your only reply for me was to check my JavaScript errors which I made good effort to cross reference without success in making in connections to that being the problem. I am just looking for additional advice to help me get your product working on my newly upgraded 7.1 installation but in the past months you appear very brief and far and few between the occasions in which you offer support.  You suggested i move my issue to an email conversation with you which I did which appears to be abandoned.  I can only hope you are working on figuring it out and if so just say so rather than the unknown silence for myself and others awaiting support for your products.  You have some really great mods and I use quite a few.  If there is no known help to be given for my issue than please just make that statement so I can pursue other avenues of repairing this problem.

I am certainly appreciative of your time but mine grows shorter everyday that a bug renders one of the main areas of my website poorly displayed and loss of function. I have to assume my custom site somewhere holds the key to this issue so I am aware its most likely not an issue on your demo site. I am just lost at what to try or look for next.

My latest findings is that the problem does not display on IE but only on Google Chrome and Firefox (The only 3 browsers I have).

The news feed duplication does not happen if you click on "most popular" first and then on "news" before then clicking the update option again. However, if you just click the update function upon the first loading of the news feed it then duplicates all entries in which all duplicates disappear again if you hard refresh the page. 

I tested the demo.  I did not see a way for the member to edit what they would like to see show in the newsfeed.  Where are the member's settings located?

Members can't change what type of content is shown. This is all done by the admin but can be different for the Homepage & Profile pages...

I have a suggestion for a small improvement. It is regarding "Messages maxlenght:"  Let´s say I allow it to be 5000... Then it wil look ridiculous on the wall if a mesage is that big. What about to have a new function in admin that says "Messages maxlenght - Read more button" If that was set to 500, then all characters after nr. 500, was hidden in "Read more".

I'm curious as to where the photos uploaded through the evo-wall go... when I upload one, it does not show up in any of my personal folders (that I have found!) It also does not show in the recent Photos area. What's up with that?

Items posted to Timeline like photos etc are not picked up in the evowall news feed.  I am running Dolphine 7.1.1

Weird little problem.

Using version 1.30 (will update after this post)

Uploading multiple photos individually causes this problem. (select file, upload, select file, upload, select file, upload as opposed to selecting all files at once). All these images are from the same source and are the same resolution and size.

Okee Dokee. Updated to 1.32. Problem has disappeared.

I really hate updating this mod. I have about 10 custom membership types and every time I do it, I gotta go in and manually reset every one of them. Big PITA.....

Is there a way to configure the block for the profile page such that it only shows posts from that member and does not allow others to post to that member's wall?  What I am trying to do is have just a public wall where everyone can post to from their account page.  Members see other members post on thier account page but when you go to someone's profile page you only see the contributions of that member.

as you know D7.1.X introduced many changes and this has required a big effort to fix the compatibility with this D' version.

Today we have released a new update for EvoWall that:

• Allow to use the Email Notifications: so now you can decide to enable/disable the email notifications for like, share, comment and messages to the profile's wall. You can manage the email templates directly from the administration
• We have fixed a bug (thanks crack_foo for the report) for the video's post grouping when there is a video unprocessed.
• Also we have added the post for the Status Message change.

Often, as on this case it's required the reinstallation because the update is for the most part of files.

EvoWall is very complex and often, as you know, we add new features in order to meet the most frequent requests from our customers.

Often a 3d module/template add a javascript error and that create problem to the other scripts.

This is the reason we can guarantee the correct functioning on the default Dolphin site or on our demo site.

Also we want you consider that this period Boonex released many new updates (also for the jquery libraries) and also that the most important browsers are been updated too.

Now that you are able to send an email with the link to the post, can you not make the change to the corresponding spy event too? The notifications for those still lead nowhere...

 Today we have released a little update, for who have already installed the version 1.3.3, you must not uninstall the module.

Only you must overwrite the following files:

• commento.php
• condivisione.php
• messaggio.php

Then empty the cache.

About the emails, (with the current version of EvoWall), if you click on the link on the email you'll see the exactly the post where you have received a comment, a like or the shared post.

A bug I've noticed with your addition of the status message, there is no way to delete this activity from the newsfeed. The delete option does not appear when hovering at the top right of the activity.

Also, I understand your email updates, which is really nice. But if a user has selected to not received site updated they would not get the email. Can you confirm if it is possible to have the link show in the spy data as well and not just your email.

Also, when you rate 2 profiles, the grouping doesn't apear that they have rated more than one as it only shows the last rated profile. The text at the bottom does indicate that there are more though...

Same issue here. Photos posted to timeline appear only under the "wall photos" album, but do not appear on the timeline.

I have Dolphin 7.1.1 with a fresh install of evoWall 1.3.3 and PhotoDLX 6.3. 

And another thing: When "news feed" block is placed in the "Account" page, and you go to the account page, you can't post a photo at all from there (it uploads, but the "name/description/tags" drop down never appears). Through the profile page you can post (but as noted- it doesn't appear on the wall).

more:

"Add Url" works well, but doesn't do auto refresh afterwards, so it appears like nothing happened (manual refresh makes it appear on the wall).

"add video" via youtube doesn't work at all (you paste the link, press continue and... nothing).

Is that Dolphin 7.1.1 on your demo site? Is this the latest version of the EvoWall there?

I see things work correctly in the demo (I tried it before buying that myself), but I can't figure out why it's not working for me.

I have a pretty standard 7.1.1 installation (upgraded from 7.1.0), with no users yet, as I'm in process of building the site. The only non-Dolphin modules I have installed are yours (1-col, 3-col, Evo, PhotoDLX and MegaProfile). I've installed the EvoWall, then PhotoDLX, then MegaProfile. When I saw the photos issue, I tried uninstalling Evo then re-install, thinking the order of installations might matter. It didn't.

I went through the Admin settings of photos, profile activation (making sure photos and profiles are auto-approved) and almost any other setting I could think of.

l'm going to uninstall everything and try the EvoWall by itself.

The demo site is a D7.1.0 but we have installed the wall on many d7.1.1 and we can't reproduce these issues.

So contact me with the credentials for your site so to check where is the problem

Update for these issues:

the "add url" option works well on Chrome (added AND refreshed), but not on IE 9. On IE, the url is added to timeline, but the auto-refresh is not done, so you don't see the site on your timeline.
This was recreated on your demo site as well. 

The "add video" option is my fault... I didn't realize I don't have the "videos" module activated... Once I installed it- it worked well.

The photos issue is still an issue though... I'm doing some tests before asking for your time to help looking.

A very happy update:

I've uninstalled Evo, MegaProfile, and PhotoDLX, and also the Dolphin "photos" module.

Then I re-installed in that order:

1. The "photos" module, then tested that a photo upload appears on the Boonex "Timeline".

2. The EvoWall module, and tested a photo upload- it appears on the wall!

3. added Megaprofile, uploaded another photo- all is still ok, photo appears.

4. added PhotoDLX, uploaded multiple pictures- all appear on Evo!

Conclusion: I have no idea what went wrong the first time (maybe the installation order is important somehow?), but it's alright now and it makes me really happy :)

One issue that remains is the one I reported above, but that's it for now:

Hello is evowall  meant to complete substitute timeline and spy boonex module ? Or I have to have it installed both for proper functionality ?

Two more issues:

1. When you go to a friend's wall, if it has an event of "XXX has edited status message", the status message you see is your own and not actually the new status of your friend... That's a bit weird. 

2. When you add an event and attach photos to that event, the event appears on the wall, as well as the event photos which appear in a separate post as new photos you just added. That could be fine (even though I'm not sure it's a desired behavior), however: when you click on these event photos on the wall, you get a blank page which says "ACCESS DENIED".

As event pictures do not go into any album, I guess there's an issue getting to them.

I suggest preventing events images from appearing on one's wall (as new photos. Appearing as a new event is desired and works well by itself).

A question, what Event module are you using on your site?

You're right, I can't seem to recreate on the demo site. I'm using the default Boonex event module.

I've tried different users and on IE and Chrome both, I always get the double posting... That's weird, I can't seem to figure that one out. Any chance it's something that got introduced in 7.1.1?

Attached is a screenshot to show the behavior I'm experiencing. You can see 2 events posted right after their photos got a post of their own... I'll keep looking into it, if you got any insight- please let me know.

P.S.- thanks for the status msg bug fix!

UPDATE: in the Boonex Timeline module, only the event is posted (not the photos, which is ok).

In SPY activity, you see both the event and the photos are reported in 2 different actions, but somehow the Timeline knows to ignore the photo report and report only the event.

I couldn't solve this issue. Tried uninstall and re-install of the EvoWall, tried different settings enabling/disabling... nothing worked.

What I eventually did was to add the red code at around line 2358 at basecore.php:

This makes sure photos with the "Events" or "Groups" categories (photos attached to events and groups) are not shown on the Wall. I'll probably have to redo that with every module upgrade, unless this becomes a problem for more people and incorporated to the code as a solution...

It's better to check your site, so send an email at info@ilbellodelweb.it with the credentials for FTP and Dolphin administration.

Can you make your email notifications get sent to the user's local messages as well? So if they do opt to not receive email notifications, they can still get the link from the dolphin mail. As well, if you can define if the message is inserted as a letter or greeting would be an added bonus as standard user's can not read letter's on my site but this type of message should be accessible to all which greetings are.

There are some bugs with the changes you did for the video grouping.

1) When you expand a group of video's that have been completed and approved, the spinning icon stays on the screen.

2) When you expand a group of video and choose to share any of the older ones, the description shows properly, however the video that is shared is the latest one only.

I would also like to suggest an improvement to the functions of changing the contents of the news feed from recent to "popular". I feel the little switch icon goes un-noticed that it can actually do something. Can you make it into something like a virtual tab or something so you can see there are 2 views available plus a little refresh icon instead of the text "update"? I also notice that when on the popular setting, there is no "update" option available.

Released EvoWall 1.3.5

this version is a minor bug fix that solves the a bug for the email notification about the post sharing made from the author to an own post (now you dont receive the notification about your sharing of an your post).

Also we have fixed a little bug on the css style files.

So if you have already installed the previous version 1.3.4, you can only overwrite the following items:

1) the folder ibdw/evowall/install

2) the folder ibdw/templates (only the css if you want)

3) the file condivisione.php

BUG: If you set a value with an apostrophe ' in the lang key _ibdw_evowall_msgformhome it does not display.

A quick question:

In timeline (by Boonex) you get posts when you comment on blogs, news etc.

But EvoWall doesn't report these actions. Why is that, and have you considered reporting them?
