We have not done anything to the site. Just got a new member and that poped-up

Released EvoWall 1.7.4

This version will solve the bugs reported these 2 months.

If you have already installed the previous versions 1.7.2 or 1.7.3 you can simply overwrite the files and empty the cache.

Otherwise you need to reinstall the new versions.

EvoWall 1.7.5 has been released.

This version only solves a bug for the blog cover link.

If you have installed the ver. 1.7.4, you can simply upload the new file basecore.php and empty the cache.

I cannot post/upload photos from Mobile wall. 

I had this working on prior site, changed domains and installed new activation codes....

Member level is 'standard'

 Ignore this ... the member was not activated. Long day of coding .....

Is there a way to change the display so that after a wall entry is posted (say someone posts a picture or a link) and then someone else comments on the item that it goes back to the top of the wall?  The issue is that items that people might be interested in discussing are getting buried too fast by new posts, many of which are not that interesting to the community.

I'm having the same problem as dentech3 (photos being attributed to the wrong person).  Here is what my users ask: 

Why does it sometimes tell me someone commented on a photo of mine that is clearly not mine?

I searched the forum but didn't find the answer to a question we're having..

Is it possible ( if so how? ) to determine if someone is male or female and show that in a post?
For example we want this feature for this:

On my newsfeed ( homepage ) I see all the posts of friends. A friend changed his avatar. Normally you would get the title of the photo. In that case "Avatar". We would like to change that and instead of the title avatar we want to place the text "... changed his profile photo".

We already did changes to get the text there instead of the title only if a women changes her avatar there needs to stand "... changed her profile photo".

Basically we would like to now if we can determine the gender of the member that changed his/her avatar and if male show "his" and if female show "her".

I was searching trough some files of the module but didn't found it myself. Maybe it's very simple or even't possible. We like to know...

 I'm using 1.7.3.  I'll try updating the files and see how that goes.

Just installed on a new site. I shared a image and video. Now I get this error:

Has nothing to do with sharing. All I have to do is upload some images and it shows above the post.

I also have a question about the "notification" of likes + comments of a post.

We like to add the amount of likes and comments to a div in the post. Just the amount and not liking it or commenting it, because that happens on another place. Also now when you have less than three likes you see ... and ... likes this. Instead of 2 likes. 

Can you provide us with code to show that?

It's really frustrating. People pay a lot of money for this module and the response time is hilarious. And if that happened once or twice it's understandable, but this happens a lot. For social networks this is a important module and the fact that if something is broken / not working and you need to wait for days and days costs a business money.

There is a thing you have to understand: this is a forum for the support request about the installation/setup issues or bugs. When you buy a module you buy it exactly as it is.

Request of changes, code alteration or editing will be ignored here because this is an area to answer to the bugs or the problems encountered during the process of installation and setup.

Also, you can suggest an improvement or a feature and we can consider to add it (for free or paying). Anyway consider the gol of this forum

I always do PM to developers, especially you guys and i know you guys are busy and i don't have any issues with your mod. No, we have not verified the last problem you have reported, just I've asked to get (in private) the credentials for the account where you have got the problem.

How do you link to Facebook and all the other social systems . I know i need a Facebook App ID, but  do i make a new 1 for my domain OR do i use 1 for the forwarded URL that it really goes to.... I am so confused. Could some one explain this fully for me..

 In the admin you will see where the app id goes for the wall. If you have facebook connect already set up on your site and works.. Just use that ID as long as you have it set up right.

Do you have Facebook Connect installed and working right? Deanos Facebook Connect is better then the one that comes with Dolphin.

If you have Facebook connect working right. Then copy the facebook connect ID# from there and paste it in your Facebook App Id:  at the evowall administration

If that does not work then you might want to check your Facebook connect plugin to make sure it works..

If you don't have the Facebook Connect plugin or any other facebook app for your domain at facebook, you will have to go off to facebook and make a new app on facebook for your domain.

 I am using the Boonex 1 and i have watched denoes video on setting it up and it seems that i have done it correctly BUT it doesn't seem to be functioning...... I will try 1 more thing

you must create a facebook application for your site.

This allows you to use the FB connection for the login and also for the contents sharing.

I checked the checkbox in the admin area to show Boonex Events inside the EvoWall module. There is only one downside to it...

When a member joins an event, the wall post shows also on the wall of the creator of the event. If you have an event with +20 "fans / people say who want to come" the wall of the creator of the event is full with the people who join.

Is there an way to show the post that you joined an event only one your page instead of also on the creator of the event?

Since the responsive version was released, any photos uploaded show enlarged to full width of container on evo wall, even if they are smaller than container.

Was there any changes made to change this?

full width is fine, but they should ideally not enlarge bigger than their original size... 

looks bad when smaller images pixelate!

 we are evaluating to check the image size before to adapt or not the image to the content width.

This feature has only a problem, it requires resources. If the problem is for the avatar, you can disable the post about the avatar in the query filter, so in general you will display only big images without the pixel effect.

Problem is with all photos, though, not just avatar.

Please look into a fix for this asap, as it means photos on evowall is non useable unless somehow limiting users to upload big images (which is not going to happen!)

Does the share button share content with friends or just in your wall ?

Also one more question in the evowall setting it say use UNI or Dark template can't we have a choice to use another custom template ?

in the past EvoWall calculated the image size and basing on the result it displayed a small preview or a big image. This is the best you can get, right. But there is a problem. The only possibility to do it, it's to calculate the image size and this takes many resources. As you know the main site using Dolphin are hosted on shared hosting and on these cases the resources availability are very low. Also, question...Except the avatar, when you have to upload an image with a very small size??
We have not problem to restore the previous feature (image calculation), but consider that the resource consumption is an hard problem for the most part of the dolphin installation. The best way to meet the different request and to add this feature as configurable (on off) function. But, you can be sure, all will use this on and then we'll get a slow page loading...ecc...

2) the share is a share on the wall, so if you set the wall privacy "Friends", only your friends will see your shared contents. Maybe do you want to add a share only for "Friends" because you have set the wall privacy as "members" or "public"...let me know

Posting A POLL.

I just posted my first two polls to the EVO Wall.

Now, each time someone votes, it's duplicating the poll on the account page (attached image).

If 500 people vote on each, it's going to duplicate on the account page 1000 times (500 x 2).

How does each poll only show up ONCE on the account page (with comments below)??

 In the admin you will have to put in the offset or time..mine was 3600 that is what I put in.

/modules/?r=evowall/administration/

look for Offset (seconds):

Place your offset there..

it is under the format date and time.
