Hello

Currently the module is available for Dolphin 7.1.x only. But we plan to create it for Dolphin 7.0.x too.
Please wait. :)

You show 2 screen shots for the single line sign up. Does that mean new members need to click on 'join now' twice before joining? Will the following show on 1 single line: Username, Email, Password, Date of Birth, Country > Join

The module uses default Dolphin's Profile Fields builder to organize fields in join form. So, you may create any number of steps and the next step will be loaded when visitor clicks 'Join Now' on the current one.

You may create a join form with only 3 fields Username, Email and Password. In this case you don't need to have multiple steps.

Theoretically you may have 5 fields and only one step but they won't fit in one line. Default Dolphin's page width is to small to fit 5 fields in one line.

Is this possibile to put member in a popup which will be shown each time the member logged in while he won't fill the fields completely?
Member should fill in all fields (depended of profile type) not only mandatory fields.
Is this possibile to do that?

As I already wrote above the module uses default Dolphin's profile fields builder. So, there is no way to ask that all fields should be filled in but in the same time they are not mandatory.

However I think your idea can be realized without any custom modifications but using mandatory fields. You may do the following:

1. You may mark all necessary fields as mandatory and display all of them on Profile Edit page.
2. Display only basic fields (for example, Username, Email, Password) on Join Form.

In this case user will be able to easily join by filling in a short join form, but notification popup will appear after each login until he doesn't fill in all profile fields.

OK. You are right.

One more question: is there a possibility to have any animation on those basic forms (div.aqb-jf-form-cnt)? Any: width transition, fade transform, slide or sth. else... I mean that effect after "submit" btn.

Unfortunately that is not possibile to display this effect with css3 - no way. But this is very easy with f.ex. jquery, but how? Maybe somethong like this:

$('#button').click(function () { $('.box').toggleClass('change-width'); });

...and where attach that code - in your main.js? Of course it can be fade effect - width is only an example.

Yes, you may use something like this in main.js file. But the exact code and the place where it should be added are depend on the effect you want to realize.
P.S. The module submits each step of join form using ajaxSubmit. You may find the code in main.js file -> AqbJfMain::validateJoinForm method.

Very strange that everybody have the same problem. And you still sending the same files that not working.

And if i trying to change the number of fields, after the saving it goes back to 3 as default. It's not working to save the number of fields.

The module displays the warning to everybody just after the installation because by default Dolphin has TOO many profile fields in join form. You just need to reduce their number using standard Dolphin's Profile Fields builder view admin panel -> builders -> profile fields -> join form.

P.S. Looks like you've tried to change the value of the limit itself in module's admin panel but you need to change the number of fields to meet this limit.

You just need to reduce their number using standard Dolphin's Profile Fields builder view admin panel -> builders -> profile fields -> join form. Note, you don't need to be a developer because it can be easily done via Dolphin's administration panel.

P.S. I did it for you via provided Dolphin's admin panel access info. Check it please. :)

Hi,

I`ve just installed the module, and it doesn`t work right for me. I get the "limit fields" error too. I do understand how to set up the registration profile fields for this to work, but the problem is that there are no steps created. If i enter 3 fields per step, it will work if the registration form has no more than 3 fields, but if there are 4+ fields it will fail.No matter what and how I try to organize the fields, in the same block in another block, it will fail when: "total amounts of fields > then set step" no matter how there organized.

I can`t see why it fails ?

Am I right that the next step needs a new block with fields, or does it not matter at all, if the next fields are in the same block. No matter how I organize the fields, blocks are ignored anyway, it shows as many fields as set as step-limit on the form, no matter what block there in. Seems to ignore blocks in this case.

Is there someting im missing ? Or any suggestion why creating steps fails.

(A very quick signup with only one step, would be great, but not a good idea without captcha. After the install I set it up first with just that setting, and had a signup with dozens of bots/spammers within in minutes! :-o So at least a step with captcha is essential.)

  1. You are right you need to use a separate block for each step.
  2. Each block should have number of fields which is less than specified limit.
  3. Each block should be associated with new 'Join Page'. Try to view block's settings and you'll see 'Join Page' parameter. So, the first block should have 0, the second - 1, the third - 2, etc.

1. You may hide the old 'Join' link via Dolphin's admin panel -> Builders ->  Service Menu.

2. May be you have some customization related to Join process which can prevent popup displaying. I need to take a look to be able to give you an answer.

Thank you for the report. The issue was fixed and the package was updated. If you don't want to reinstall the module you just need to update the following files from the package and clear cache if you have it enabled.

1. classes/AqbJfTemplate.php

2. templates/base/css/join_tablet.css

3. templates/base/css/join_phone.css

In this case you may:

1. Activate more fields or move the block in narrow column.

2. Customize the fields' width via modules/aqb/join_form/templates/base/css/join.css CSS file.
