Quick Informer from AntonLV

Just curious, is anyone else getting numbers cut off in quick informer when you add a '$' in front?

e.g. '$1234567' becomes '34567'.

I cannot reproduce the issue on my demo site. You may take a look at my profile http://dolphin70.aqbsoft.com/aqbsoft and you'll see that a number of fields have $ with numbers as its values. However if you'll open Quick Informer by moving your mouse over my thumbnail (on the same page) you'll see that these values are displaed correctly in Quick Informer. May be something is wrong with your server configuration settings or so.

Yup, I saw...i was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem.

Suspect could be one of the external mods I installed that is causing this but I've been pulling my hair and trying to figure out which one but still can't find it.

So posted here to see if anyone has a similar experience so can track down the specific problem.

You mentioned something about server configuration settings.

Could it be anything to do with magic_quotes_gpc? Mine is off .

magic_quotes_gpc = Off

Will that affect it?

I think the problem doesn't connect with 'magic_quotes_gpc' server setting. By default Dolphin requires that this setting should be Off. You may check it in admin panel -> tools -> host tools.

2. Mobile and touch screen friendly.

The updated version is great!! I LOVE being able to select from our own defined fields.

Just one issue. Age. Age is a very typical field to show.  But the only option is Date of birth. and most people dont like that shared.

So please help me figure out how to add age?

 By default the module works with profile fields only. But there is no Age field in Dolphin, therefore Quick Informer cannot display it.

However it can be done as custom modification if you want to have this field permanently. Contact us via PM to discuss the details.

Unfortunately, I didn't create such mod before and moreover I didn't plan to create anything like this in the next version. Therefore I stated that it can be done a custom modification only.

I mailed you about an issue regarding text running out of informer box.

I came to see that its because of size of the word. 

So I feel its not an issue and an extreme case.

Furthur I am attaching the images of before and after truncation.

Unfortunately there is no option to attach files in dolphin mail. 

so I am unable to attach the images in mail.

Thank you for the report. You are right, you typed a VERY long sequence of characters without spaces and therefore  the browser cannot divide it on different lines. In this case overflow: hidden CSS style can be used to hide characters which don't fit the value's box.

While using mobile,

The 'i' symbol on profile photo on timeline occupying more space.

What do you mean with "While using mobile"? By default, (i) icon appears on mouse over. Did you do some customization to optimize the module for mobile?

With Android mobile, the 'i' used to stay on profile photo. But on desktop it appears only on hover.

Now after upgrade, please see the mobile snapshot image below.

It shouldn't be there. Looks like something was mixed up. Provide me with test profile access info via PM and I'll check the issue. 

please tell exactly how to move the 'i' symbol little left on profile icon. I tried in templates css but no effect.

You need to modify modules/aqb/informer/templates/base/css/main.css file, 'Icon Styles' section. It has 3 classes
div.thumbnail_image .aqb-inf-control {
...
}
div.thumbnail_block_icon div.thumbnail_image .aqb-inf-control {
...
}
.no-touch div.thumbnail_image .aqb-inf-control {
...
}

which are applied in different circumstances. Don't forget to clear cache before testing.

1. The module can automatically recognize 'text', 'textarea', 'select', 'select multiple' and 'date' fields only.

2. Profile fields are automatically checked during module's installation only.
