Premium Events - Maps+News+Venue+Sponsors Mod Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the Premium Events mod.

When entering an event, there is no ability to enter an address where the event is taking place. This then also does not reflect correctly on the Map, it shows something, but where does it get this info from? It looks like it displays the address of the person entering the event.

The event may not always take place at the same address.

Secondly in the Description and Information blocks there is no ability to enter a hyperlink. That button is greyed out.

Unless of course I am doing something incorrectly.

RESPONSE : The mod does not use the address of the person. The address is a combination of Place, State, City and Country. The problem is that 'Place' is not necessarily a street location. The next version update will have a 'Street' field in addition to the existing 'Place' field and this will solve the mapping issue.

RESPONSE : This is TinyMce functionality and has nothing to do with the Events mod itself.

I noticed that in this mod using FF the number of views is not displayed underneath the Events Thumbnail. It displays comments that may have been made (in my case they are all 0, which is correct). But no number viewed (eye symbol is missing).

Everything shows correctly in IE (mine is v9).

What happens to an event after it passes? Does it delete itself? Does the member who entered it delete it? If it is manual delete, does it still display as a past/popular etc event?

 Event remains on the site and is displayed in the "Past Events" section.

How do I fix the following please;

When creating an event, in the Privacy setting the last question is "Allow joining after event started"

I have v 2.0.9 and I recompiled and cleared cache.

 Sorry I did not explain very well. I wish to rectify the "_no" to "no" and "_yes" to "yes"

Where do I correct this, could not find it in the Admin>Manage Keys, so I am unsure how to fix it.

Any plans for a function to allow participants to pay to enter the event? (As compared to pay to list the event.)

Been seeing quite a bit of interest and requests for this feature in the forum.

 A separate ticketing system is in development.

Adds menu link to view local listings. This will display events that corresponds to the logged in member's postal code and city. For customized sites that have added a state field to the Profile, there is an option in the settings to enter the name of this state field. If a state field exists, the local listings will be filtered by state also.

The existing menu link that is labelled "Local" is really a drill-down and it has been renamed as such.

Additionally, blocks are added on event home page to display events created and events joined by the logged in member.

Hi, I recently removed the Groups module and then started errors when viewing events whilst not logged in.

I reinstalled the Groups module then recompiled the languages for both Groups and Events but I still get the following error when attempting to view an event when NOT logged in:

Fatal error: Class 'BxGroupsPrivacy' not found in /home/connectm/public_html/modules/boonex/events/classes/BxEventsModule.php on line 1344

Further to my last message, I've just discovered that this error message is showing for any user, which is not admin.

I don't think LOCAL events is working correctly?

When I create a user and set that users' country as Australia and then, logged in as that user, I look at LOCAL events, it shows me events from many different countires.

Problem: When Events stacked together you're not able to see the full title of the event.

Recommendation: Text box showing the full title when hoovering over the link as ue30 has on his event.

Download and replace the following files :

    modules\boonex\events\templates\base\unit.html

    modules\boonex\events\templates\base\unit_admin.html

A member added an Event and sent out Invites to the event to other members on the site. The email received was perfectly fine which has a Link : Accept Invitation - This link does not work for some reason, it will not take me to the Invite.

 Did you ever receive this email from me? I was so sure I sent one. This issue happened again today. I tried to click on Accept from the email and it took me to the browser and it says "did not match documents". It did not even get to the site in question.

However during the installation (when I run sqlupdate.php) Ii've got this message :

"Mysql error: Table 'xxx.bx_events_main' doesn't exist"

Can you please help me on this ?

 The update should be posted by Sunday.

 You need to install the basic boonex events module before running the sqlupdate.php

Ok, then I try again to install your module following your instructions but there are too many duplicates entries into sqlupdate.php when I run it. I've commented the lines that provide duplicates entries one by one then re-execute sqlupdate.php

Now the module is correcty installed but when I create a new event via the admin panel it generates duplicates blocks on my website, please see the screenshot attached.

Can you please help me to fix this ?

The duplicates occur because you ran sqlupdate.php multiple times. Uninstall the mod from admin panel then re-install and run sqlupdate.php only once and it will be fine.

I did it then , so it's ok for this point.

 You need to clear cache after running sqlupdate.php

I have just installed this mod into a new install of 7.1.2.  When I create an event and view the event, I am getting a blank screen. 

Please advise.

 I have found what is causing the issue.  It's the Event's social sharing bloc.  When I remove it, it works ok.

The following files are updated for Dolphin 7.1.2
