One question, again :

On my website, only the admin receive payments.

Ads are not published, even payment has been proceed with Paypal. There are all with "pending" status. Both vendor and buyer receive the Paypal notification of good payment.

Payment mod seetings are Process type=IPN and Connection type=HTML

How to automat the publishing when payment is completed, please ?

This is ugly. The editor is very nice IF you know how to use it. Many people that come to the site do not. They attack it like it's a word document trying to align the text this way and that but in the end. [removed by admin due to curse language]

Here's an example:

Mr Modddz, maybe we could do it for them? Maybe we could give them the different sections to fill out and then set it all up by a predefined design instead of making them (or allowing them) to do it? This just doesn't work for the average person. Also, by doing that, we can keep them from repeating the information over and over again which also clutters up the page uselessly.

You could have admin adjustable fields for title, header, features, text, footers. Then all they need to do is fill in the boxes and they good a good looking and well displayed ad.

 This is not possible with the mod as it is now. Code modification is needed.

The language key was added sometime ago. Re-download the mod and replace the file below then go to your admin panel and recompile the language for the mod.

While I have got your attention. I am having a LOT of trouble sharing classified ads to Facebook. It does not seem to grab the images like it should. Sometime, It'll grab three even though there might be a dozen and it will never grab any images unless you cycle through them once. I've tried using addthis and then removing that and using the default sharing setup.

This is a major problem for me as I cannot display the image I wish in the share....

Also, I have 2.12. Is the only difference between the two versions the language file or should I be doing an upgrade?

The mod would have to be adjusted to add the relevant facebook meta-tag to the header of the page. I will consider adding that in a future update.

 The latest version of the mod is 2.1.3.

 Is there a way I could do it myself? It's really important to me.

I did the update and lost ALL MY CONTENT! I followed the instructions to update from 2.12 to 2.13 and got MASSIVE db error messages. I then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it now mod works but I've lost ALL MY CONTENT!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS MY CONTENT?

When you un-install any Dolphin module you lose all existing content because the un-installation process removes the database tables.

So how come there isn't a warning? Maybe you think everyone understands how the DB works on your products? I've seen others do it, be able to uninstall and reinstall a mod without losing the data. IBDW's spywall (far more complicated than your base model classified ad mod). can be uninstalled and reinstalled ALL DAY LONG and never lose a single piece of information. How come yours can't? You're supposed to be an expert.

I have to say, yours is the ONLY mod that has happened to me using. Mostly it's because your installation instructions are verbose and hard to follow. This is the SECOND TIME for me with your stuff. The other thing is I can never get a response to a problem in a reasonable amount of time and since it's my site that's down, I have to try and fix it myself and it just exacerbates the problem. I have waited as long as a MONTH in the past for a response from you.

Also, when someone asks you a question, you [Lack] at actually answering the question, instead opting to make some [] statement that sort of skirts around actually answering it. A good example is right here in this post:

Why are you verbally abusing me ? At no point did I tell you to uninstall the mod. The majority of my clients here can confirm that I usually respond very quickly to installation/upgrade issues. You did not attempt to contact me therefore do not try to predict what my response time would have been.

You made a mistake and instead of accepting your mistake as a man you are trying to find scapegoats. You have been using Dolphin since 2009. You fully well know that when you uninstall a mod, the data is lost.

IBDW's spywall mod displays data stored elsewhere in Dolphin so logically the data will not be lost. When you uninstall any mod that stored data, the data is lost. Go try to uninstall one of Boonex mods (Events, Groups etc) and you will see the same thing. Go try to uninstall any mod from AntonLV, Esase, EU30 or other trusted vendors here and you will lose the data that is stored too.

I build my mods based on convention established for Dolphin. The uninstall interface is a standard interface in the Admin Panel. I did not build it myself. Yes, the uninstall button should have a warning on it but you should blame Boonex for not putting that warning, do not blame me.

You asked about a feature for the mod and I told you I will add it in a future update and you are mad about that. What do you want me to do ? abondon what I am doing right now and add it ? Clients ask for features every day, do you think it is humanly possible to add every feature that is requested for every mod immediately ? I am one of the few developers here that have support forums for every mod (over 170 of them) and actually respond to clients in those forums. I troll the forums daily and try to respond as much as possible to support forum questions.

Since I have been verbally assassinated for something I have no control over, I have also asked Andrew Boon to step in here and confirm to the masses that the way Dolphin is designed, the convention is that data is removed from the database when modules are uninstalled.

Both parties have been contacted. Please proceed with module's support related questions and answers ONLY.

I have been very politely complaining about the Facebook issue now for more than a year. The Facebook issue is not a feature request but something that already exists within the Dolphin structure. The fact that it works improperly within the Classified mod means it's a BUG or a FAILURE OF CODING on your part, not a feature to be added. If there was not supposed to be any sharing of ads, then why would you allow the Share button to exist in the first place?

I can also point you to at least 5 posts about other unrelated problems that I NEVER received any response on from you and just gave up on..

I'm not taking it anymore. If you are going to sell a product, you need to give it your BEST EFFORT because just good enough really isn't. If there is something in your install that can cause the loss of ALL the data, you need to WARN people. BTW, I remember which one of your mods did this to me last time now, It was THIS ONE! I had forgotten about it. I also disagree with the statement that Boonex is somehow responsible because you didn't warn that the removal of your mod destroys all the data. You CANNOT assume that users know as much as you do about the installation and management of your mods and their respective database structures.

You have no idea the damage from the shortcomings of your mod installation instructions and the operation of the mod itself overall has cost me and I am not backing down from this. It is time for ALL the mod developers here to step up and do the job right or quit wasting all our time.

There is nothing in the Dolphin structure that presently adds the og:image tag to the header for any module. There is no problem with the sharing of Ads. The problem you are having is that you want to choose from all the images that are posted to the classified and presently facebook will only detect the main image. I have already committed to adding additional coding (which does not exist anywhere in dolphin) to add that ability.  I have already done it to two other modules.

Regarding your other complaint about the uninstall I have already addressed that in previous response and I have nothing further to add to that.

If you have any further unanswered questions please specifically re-iterate them.

Ok. So I just want to make sure where you're at with this. You have created a mod that is being presented as one of the best on the market, a mod that is designed to allow people to advertise their product or services through a Dolphin website to the general internet as a whole so the decision was made to not worry about the mod properly interacting with other social media sites, at least the biggest ones?

Oh, and I will secede to the idea that your mod is not the only one that saw no need to provide the average user some protections from themselves. I have lost an entire site before because I accidentally deleted every single mod in my system before and never fully recovered from it. Here's a thought though, did you ever think it might be a good idea to try and do things a little better than the Boonex team? Wouldn't be that hard to do.

Enough said. Everyone now knows how I feel and continuing to beat it up will accomplish nothing. If you take some of my concerns and actually act on them, it will put you ahead of the mediocre crowd that runs this place. Your choice.

This is true that this is standard behaviour for all boonex modules that all data is lost during module uninstall.

Most function is user side - have confirmation, but most functions in admin panel don't have confirmation - because it is considered that admin is knowing what to do and a lot of confirmations - just makes site administration more difficult, however it maybe that some functions still need confirmation, especially when functions is not used very often and can cause big data loss - here is a ticket to add delete confirmation for module uninstall in next version - http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/3264

I didn't abuse anyone. I did get angry because I wasn't being listened to. If I pay for a product, I would expect certain things would be in place to provide protections against what happened to me. These are not new issues and they should have been addressed already. I lost an entire site because of the protections you just admitted Dolphin needs. That only took me 2 years to get a response and it required me making myself heard.......

Can somebody teach me how to edit modules/modzzz/classified/templates/base/unit.html so that list view in classified ads home page can be changed into grid view (e.g 4 products per row)..I need this badly as the list view occupies too much space.

Try to share it to Facebook. You will only be allowed to select one of three images and none are the ones you would want to use.... It does work better and for a large portion of the ads, it now allows you to select from whatever images are there. In a few cases, like this one, it reverts to the old 3 image limit.

I am sorry, you'll have to login to see the share button. (trying to resolve that now)

I have used the facebook debugger tool at https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug to check your URL and the images are showing so I am not sure what is wrong

I have added facebook namespace tag to the header to see if that makes a difference. Download the mod again and re-upload this file then clear cache.

Ok, I will do that. It's weird though. One day it works, the next, it does not. it seems to fail after you've tried to do it a couple times....

I had the default recommend block in it, I then replaced the content of the block with a custom addthis script, didn't matter either way. Today, it seems to be working fine. (and yes, i cleared all cache, including my browser after the install)

I will install the added changes, then test the crap out of it and if the problem still exists, I'll try and be as specific as possible. I do appreciate the help.

Just in case you think I'm nuts, I am providing this image. You can clearly see it is only allowing 3 images PLUS I just noticed it is having trouble displaying the comment text. Seems to be some random characters in the text....

4 days, still no response ...

Testing has shown that it still does not work reliably.

If you post a new ad, then go to the page for the first time AND TOUCH NOTHING except to click the share button, you can get the images to show. Once you do that however, each successive try limits you back to the 3 images only.

There is an internal conflict going on between the mod and Dolphin when it comes to sharing the images in a post on Facebook.

I have no response at this time. Presently. I do not know why Facebook will not recognize the images. I have added the og:image MetaTags that Facebook documentation indicated should be added. This thread will be updated whenever any further information is unearthed.

How do i resolve it?

This is an error coming from your SMTP Mailer module which was unable to deliver the mail. I cannot say why as there is really no details in the error to analyze. Have you recently started using SMTP mail on the site ?

As my module is heavily customised, I cannot simply reupload files. Kindly advise which updates to the search functionality do you refer to? I previously asked for the search box to be displayed in the category, subcategory, tags and search results pages to avoid having to click back (lots of ugly dead ends). Are you able to advise or quote for this?

The alternative is to make the search results appear using ajax so to keep the user on the same page.

Auto City/Zip Code Complete

Hi Modzzz

On Premium Classifieds, is there a way to auto enter the City and Zip code from a persons profiles as my members are fed up with having to add this information everytime they create an ad.

If anyone wants to auto fill your own fields like with me my business clients name automatically goes into the seller name and their telephone goes into telephone.

Edit modules\modzzz\classified\classes\BxClassifiedFormAdd.php and find lines:

After enter this line of code for each additional field you want to auto enter. (Example shown is for sellers name field which I have used as the business name from my profile page)

$sSelBusiness = Value of field to auto complete
sellername = the name of the field in the form
business_name = Name of the profile field

Now find line (around 478): 'sellername' => array(
