This is a support forum for our Notes module.

If you have some questions or suggestions regarding it feel free to post them here or contact us directly.

After a "Notes" page is created, can the Admin Page Builder be used to configure the page layout, i.e. columns and blocks?  If so, and custom PHP & HTML blocks can be added, then this could be a very useful module.

The module uses Page Builder for Notes Home and View Note pages. So, you may add columns, HTML, RSS blocks on the pages the same way as you can do it on the other Page Builder based pages. Also you may add PHP blocks via database and via admin panel (if you have a special mod for Page Builder).

I just installed the Notes module.  I created a note and set privacy view to me only.  After I saved the note then went to Notes home - I was not able to see my own note.

"Private" notes (Privacy view is set to Me Only) are Stickers and they are available on my account page only. It's notifications (reminders) for yourself. 

"Public" notes (Privacy view is set to Public, Members, Friends, etc)  are available to the other member and will be seen on Notes home page.

Hello, I need some clarification on this mod.  In membership levels, AQB Notes Delete/Edit is this referring to one's own notes?  Or is it referring to other members notes?  The built-in membership level of Dolphin has some entries for moderators and that is what I am wondering here; if it is one's own notes or notes that others have posted.

An owner may edit/remove his Notes by default. These membership actions are needed for membership levels like Moderator or so that one user may remove Notes of the other users.

Dolphin 7.1 svn 17255.  I have two accounts, one admin, one regular.  On both accounts on the note section titled My Stickers, I see a note.  When I click on it it takes me to the notes page where it says error as the title with Empty reported.  I am wondering if this is showing up on all the accounts page.  What is the cause of this?

The issue was fixed and the package was updated here. You just need to redownload it and update AqbNtsDb.php and AqbNtsModule.php files from notes/classes/ folder.

I noticed today that the owner of a note can not delete comments, only admins.  Where can I make a code change that will allow the note owner to delete any inappropriate comments left on their notes?

It's a common way of how comments are working in Dolphin. The comment can be deleted by admin and comment owner. Content owner can post a reply or delete his own comments. I rechecked it and it's working the same way in Photos, Events, etc.

However it can be changed via custom modification. You need to edit modules/aqb/classes/AqbNtsCmts.php file and overwrite isRemoveAllowed method which is defined in parent class BxDolCmts. By default it checks membership level only.

The module was updated. Notes 1.1 is available now.

NEW in 1.1 update:

1. Sosial Sharing buttons were added on View Note page. They are:
   - Facebook Like 
   - Google Plus
   - Tweet
2. Installation process was improved.

I was really hoping you were going to add it so that Notes show up in the Spy Notifications and OutLine module as we discussed.  I really don't want to pay $60.00; your price at the time, to add these features and my attempt to get others to share in the price failed.  As I stated in a forum topic, it is very important for any "content" module to be added to Notifications and OutLine because those two sections create the interaction on the site.  I guess I am going to have to try and add this important feature myself.

Notifications and Outline was much more important than adding social share buttons.

1. Integration with Timeline (timeline and outline)
2. Integration with Spy

Thanks for adding the Timeline/Outline and Spy.  Does this require a new install?  I uploaded the files to the site but it is still not adding to the OUTLINE/SPY.  If a new install is required; can you tell me what tables I need to export so I don't lose my member's notes?

In case of database Notes version 1.1 and 1.2 are equal. The module should be reinstalled because during the installation it notifies Timeline and Spy that it will use their services. So, you may backup all Notes related database data and reinstall the module, then restore the data back.

I just noticed that it is not adding to the spy; a person left a comment on a note but it is not showing in the spy notifications in the account panel; or at least it is not doing so on my site.  Can you check this feature on your demo site?

I sent a PM on this but thought maybe others would benefit.  I would like to incorporate your Cross Members Block into your Notes module.  I have played around with it but if you can tell me how to stop blocked members from viewing a member's Notes, it would be appreciated.

Only the latest version of the module was integrated with Timeline and Spy. Do you have it? If no, then you need to upgrade.

You need to edit modules/aqb/notes/classes/AqbNtsModule.php file, find the following method actionView and the following line of code in it

Then add the code below just before it
