Hello,

because there is no Forum in mobile for Windows Phone 8, I post this question here.

I hope that the admins will open a new mobile forum for Windows 8.

Question: Will there be a Windows phone 8 app in the near future available?

thanks for answering and other ideas to my question,

That's sad.

The new Win8 - I like it - and came back to MS.  You should check your answer again in some months. ;-)

The whole concept of a tablet is rather strange.  Instead of getting a small notebook, or netbook, you get a device that is crippled and try to use it for the internet.  Apple released that they will have 128 gigs of storage and I almost fell off my seat laughing.  People should stop buying into the hype.  Who in their right mind would buy a tablet instead of a cheap small notebook or netbook that can actually access the internet using a standard browser and on top of that have better storage capacity.

Surface Pro have proven to be a great device for me as a web developer.  I can now use Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and full Office products on my table.

Surface Pro tablet is great for doing quick presentations to clients rather one on one or in front a group.  Because of the solid state drive and 4MB Ram it is very quick - faster then my laptop which runs Windows 8 on a IDE drive with 8MB RAM.

Anyway, I hope Boonex will reconsider developing an app for Windows 8. Since the introduction of Windows Phone 8 and OS, it has gained marketshare and will continue to do so.

Is there a way without using the app to load the mobile pages? I am a Prime customer, but want to be able to support devices other than just Apple and Android.

@thrivity: To be clear, Recorder means Windows Phone, which is different from Windows 8 (and RT) for desktops/tablets.  Windows Phone has not seen much success since its launch (note how most carriers offer their Windows Phone devices for $49.00 or free - they don't sell).  Besides, I don't think Windows 8 has an advantage with its Modern-style apps.

BoonEx (as noted above) have no desire to develop mobile apps for platforms other than Android and iOS, since those two make up most of the market.  They could probably use BlackBerry's Android player to bring over their Android app with minimal work, but I don't think they want to bother.  You're welcomed to develop your own mobile app for other platforms.

@pplaut: The mobile apps aren't wrappers around a mobile template - there's no mobile version of Dolphin available other than the mobile apps and a WAP mod in the market.  Alternatively, AndewP and a few other developers now have responsive templates available that should work on screens large and small.
