No, because with 3D you will not have enough back and you will eat the pizza before seeing it. Sealed

Non, la façon dont les choses se passent, les gens vont se promener avec des téléphones avec des écrans 22 pouces.

Anyone want to take a guess at when DolphinU might actually be usable/stable in a normal website environment?

How many months or years from now?

I haven't looked at the back end other than the demo stuff, but I am still guessing more than a year, and probably much longer than that.

Don't wait it out stick with Dolphin 7.1, and hopefully Boonex will work on updating it. I expect all this DolphinU hype will definitely take awhile before it becomes a stable reality.

Not less than 12-18 months for final release.

So my suggestions
1st. Auto site update or bug fix is implemented. I hope got it right.
2nd. Ajax is working for the site.
3rd. Internal sharing function is working thanks.
4th. Play button needed on videos thumbnails..have to see when video module comes.
I think by auto update function DU can be built and distributed rapidly

I would, but I always get it wrong. :)

Well, Boonex could take a cue from Microsoft and announce a date and then when they can not make it start removing the features they promised; however, I would rather they did not.

Jim, it's not supposed to "look" like anything right now.

What your missing along with others, the back-end...the administrative side is

the amazing part.

Pay no attention to the front side.

I like the back-end. I would love to see a second display mode of the launcher, where you can see the extensions grouped by type. For example, "Core settings" apps, "Content Management" apps etc. It might be useful to the users who will use Dolphin U for the first time. Of course, mine is just an idea.

Maybe I will set up my own test bed and check it out. And by the way Newt...it's Jeremy ;)

I think everyone should before they actually pass judgement.

Well, I installed it on my server. So far, I am not overly impressed. Not sure if it's because I am so used to D6/7. I will say some things are pretty dummy proof. The Designer portion is pretty cool. It's not bad in my opinion, I'm really just not a fan of how its laid out in the back end, however, I completely understand that Boonex's goal was to make it responsive to multiple devices.

I am sure that once its out a while and get used to the layout and see some new templates being made, it will be much better. By the way, I am assuming the Extensions portion doesn't allow for module installation as of yet.
