Can non-members purchase store products?

Is it possible for non-members to purchase products from a Dolphin Store?

Have played with these settings extensively and though non-members can view products, seems they can't purchase any.

Is there any way to do this or must anyone making a purchase already be a member?

I do not see a 'Public' option in the 'Allow to purchase' drop down so I would say No.

Nothing to see here

Trying to figure out why this would be the case i..e, what is it about purchasing something with requires an account to be created?

Total bummer if this is true.

Need to setup events for a non-profit organization which anyone can attend, though paid members receive discounts.

Their current 10 year old website enables any visitor to purchase event admission, while paid members log in to receive their discounted event admission.

Shame if no provision to do this in Dolphin. Frown

Didn't understood your question. Can you explain what you mean?

I've tried various Privacy Settings, but Public and Non-Member can never be selected in the Allow Purchase To field, though Public is an option for both View Product and Post in Forum (see attached screenshot).

Thanks

Has anyone been able to allow non-members to purchase items from their site? Guessing a mod is required, but haven't found any which does this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please see my extensive post on this, listed last August.

http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Can-t-Sell-To-Public-Serious-Design-Flaw.htm

Not being able to sell to non-members is a design flaw, and has been recognized by Andrew Boon.  He mentioned the store will be reworked in 7.1.  Hopefully this function will be included.  In the meantime, A WORKAROUND WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED if someone with coding ability takes an interest in this.  The ability to sell to non-members would add tremendous value to any Dolphin site.

Someday, Someway.

After communicating with someone from Boonex on this, sticking points include the download link which points to a specific profile and recording purchase history.

Speaking of download links, it would be great if a file for download wasn't required to purchase an item, since most times, at least for me, you're not selling software but membership or admission to an event.

Can anyone help me, i have been researching and researching and testing the store product, even created a sandbox account, but for some reason if a user clicks on add to cart then checks out & proceeds with the whole purchase they are not redirected to the product. In addition if u attempt to go back to the product in which u bought, the download button is not there. Help please!

Everyday is a new beginning.

The only thing that i have been able to figure out is if you install Deanos FB Connect. What i did was set up either promotion level or standard, i think the FB connect is equal to one of them, depending on how u set it up in admin panel. This way non-member logs into ur site with their FB account, and they don't need to build or create an account on our sites. Its the only way that i been able to make it easier. There's just one problem that i been facing, once non-member buys product "digital" they can always go back and download again and again etc........

Everyday is a new beginning.
